Summer sounds in the Forks: Get your groove on at six outdoor music events

Summer is officially here. If you're craving vibrant outdoor live music events, no need to fear! There's Forksful of fun to be had in our two towns.

Feeling The Blues

Experiencing the summertime blues is a grand thing in our Forks...when attending Blues on the Red 2024 presented by The Olive Ann Hotel! On June 29, beginning at 6 PM, Town Square will be overflowing with the soulful sounds of two great musical acts: Jennifer Lyn & the Groove Revival and Johnny Rawls. Admission is just $5 but best bring a few extra buck$ if you want to enjoy some delish food and drinks. Find more info online.

Jamming Out

Farmers Market will pack Town Square with tons of tremendous vendors, every Saturday, from 9 AM to 1 PM. Just some of the savory and sweet treasures and treats you'll discover include fresh produce, honey, jam, salsa, coffee, plus the best home baked goods around. But that’s not all! Patrons can also enjoy an assortment of awesome live entertainment, on the main stage, throughout the day.

Artful Melodies

Bring a lawn chair or blanket plus some of your besties and enjoy a beautiful evening in North Dakota Museum of Art’s sculpture garden. The Concerts in the Garden are casual, outdoor events featuring talented artists from across the country. In addition to splendid live music, guests can enjoy delicious food hot off the grill, nightly specials, plus beer and wine. Individual tickets are $15 at the gate, with free admission for children 12 and under. Scheduled artists, along with performance dates, are as follows: The Talbott Brothers (July 9); Chastity Brown (August 1); Tennessee Jet (July 30); Jade Jackson (August 27).

Go Johnny Go

Legendary local musician Johnny Holm and his band always serve up one amazing show! This grand Downtown party will take place at Town Square, July 19, from 8 to 10 PM. Concert goers will also be able to partake in a variety of cocktail and food vendor options. Admission is $20. Find tickets and more information online.

Shop Till You Bop

Looking to discover grand buys under Forks’ fair skies? Head to the 9th Annual Downtown Street Fair on August 23 & 24! In addition to a plethora of merchants offering cool art, clothing, jewelry and more, you'll find lots of fabulous food truck fare. Be sure to take a shopping break or two and groove out to the great live tunes showcased on several stages. Hours are Friday from 11 AM to 8 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM. Heating Things Up

For those who are fellow music lovers, definitely add Happy Harry’s Hot Valley Nights to your calendar! Hot Valley Nights is an annual multi-day country music concert festival that also includes food trucks, beer tasting, axe throwing, games and more. It takes place August 16 & 17, behind Riverwalk Center, in East Grand Forks. This year's performers include Neil McCoy, Craig Morgan, Mark Wills, Phil Vassar, Ty Herndon, Paint The Town and The Jimmy River Band. Find tickets and additional info online.
