Your ticket to #SimplyGrand classics

Besides being one of the most uniquely beautiful buildings in Grand Forks, the historic Empire Arts Center (EAC) has become a hub of great live entertainment.

Renovated in 1998, the Empire is a circa 1919 movie house turned multi-use theater and gallery facility. In addition to hosting numerous concerts and special events, EAC produces an annual theater season through its in-house Empire Theatre Company. It’s also home to the University of North Dakota Art Collections Gallery, which includes works by such acclaimed artists as Andy Warhol and Salvador Dali.

On January 17, EAC returned to its roots by beginning to show a series of “Flashback Films”. These classics spotlight some of the best, most poignant movies ever produced. Tickets are only $5/free for children 10 and under; so, it makes for a perfect date night in Forks with your plus-one, all your pals or the whole fam bam! Since you’ll already be in our SimplyGrand Downtown, take advantage of the many dining and imbibing establishments within walking distance (yes, even in chilly winter months) of the Empire.
