The Penny House

A space for middle and high schoolers to escape pressures that could lead to drinking, hang out, have fun and help each other out. The official mission of The Penny House is to inspire confidence and leadership in teenagers, by providing them a place to flourish.

The space is furnished with couches, TVs and tables for board and card games. There, students can get together to relax and chat while playing video games, stream videos and work on 3D printing projects. There is also a space for a virtual reality arcade, where students can try out the technology.

Basic memberships run $20 per month and get students access to The Penny House three days a week, from 4 to 8 p.m. A $50 membership comes with additional privileges, such as two hours use of the virtual reality equipment.
